Local Church Services Online

Mass is live-streamed at 10.00am daily.

Fr MArk Live streamed services

In the short term the live streamed Masses through Facebook will be from St John Boste church with a congregation and from the presbyteries of Our Lady Queen of Peace, St Bede’s and St Joseph’s without a congregation. The 10am Mass will continue to be live streamed only and it will be possible to view this on PC’s, laptops and a range of Apple, Android and other devices.

In the near future we will be moving our streaming service from Facebook to a dedicated server of religious services – Church Services TV. Although there is a TV in the name it is still necessary to have an internet connection to receive any streamed programme.

Initially this will only be for the live streamed Mass at 10am but it is hoped that in the future we will be uploading other types of services some of which will remain available to watch at anytime. In the short term the live streamed Masses will be from St John Boste church with a congregation and from the presbyteries of Our lady Queen of Peace, St Bede’s and St Joseph’s without a congregation.

The 10am Mass will continue to be live streamed only and it will be possible to view this on PC’s, laptops and a range of Apple, Android and other devices.

It is also possible to view the Mass on a smart TV with the use of a ROKU stick (available from Curry’s PC World for around £30) (Some smart TVs may have ROKU built in – Hisense being one example). When we do start streaming on Church Services TV the link you need will be provided in the parish newsletter, on the websites and on Facebook so just look out for the notification of change. When we do start streaming on Church Services TV the link you need is: https://www.churchservices.tv/penshaw Don’t be confused by the Penshaw bit in the name – it is easier to type than “Washington and Penshaw” and it will be obvious where the service is coming from. Please note that the link and go live date will be published soon but IT IS NOT LIVE THIS WEEK!
